The Libran Sdn. Bhd. (“The Libran”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal data we collect through thelibran.my, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your rights under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”).
When you register your interest in a course through our website, we collect your full name, mobile number, email address, and the course you’ve indicated interest in. We don’t collect any other personal data through the public website.
We use this information solely to contact you about the course you’ve registered interest in — to confirm receipt, share further details as they’re finalised (schedule, pricing, enrolment steps), and answer any questions you raise. We do not use it for unrelated marketing without asking you first.
Yes — full name, mobile number, and email address are all required to process your registration. If you don’t provide them, we won’t be able to follow up with you about the course.
Your submission is sent directly to The Libran’s team by email and is not shared with any other third party, except our email-delivery provider, which processes it solely to transmit that email to us and does not use it for any other purpose.
If you register interest but don’t go on to enrol, we keep your details for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
If you enrol in a course, we keep your details for the duration of your enrolment and for a further period afterwards in line with standard business record-keeping requirements in Malaysia (generally 7 years, consistent with the record-keeping periods under the Income Tax Act 1967 and the Companies Act 2016), after which they are deleted or anonymised unless we’re required to keep them longer by law.
Under the PDPA, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to request that we correct it if it’s inaccurate. You may also withdraw your registration of interest at any time. To do either, contact us at jeffrey@thelibran.my.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access.
